Millions of people travel to Las Vegas every year to experience the bright lights, nightlife, gambling, entertainment and  excellent food but most don’t know about the opportunities for outdoor adventure about 40 minutes away from the strip. 

Red Rock Canyon is a great place to experience the  a scenic drive, hike, trail run, or rock climb within minutes of downtown Las Vegas.  

As with most of my business trips I arrived into Las Vegas about two hours before sunset so it was a rush to get to Red Rock Canyon for a quick drive around the scenic loop drive.  

I look forward to spending some more time exploring the area in the future.
